Nepal Update Thursday

The group were due to leave this morning by helicopter. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions in Kathmandhu today this window of opportunity was not available and the helicopter was later drafted in for other emergencies.

Whilst the group is on the priority list they were not seen as a top priority today for a subsequent airlift, as none of the group are injured. We are hopeful that either our scheduled helicopter or other means may be able to uplift them tomorrow. However, this cannot yet be confirmed due to the nature of the situation on the ground, or the weather.

We have been reassured that if flights are missed then they will be transferred onto the next available flight.

In summary, the group are experiencing lovely weather at the monastery, although they are looking forward to returning home they fully understand the ongoing situation in the country.
