Touching the Earth lightly in the way that we live has to start with the embodiment of this concept within our own presence. A recognition of how doing less in our practice can actually take us deeper, if we are prepared to let go and explore what lies beneath. Essential to this path of self-discovery is to be able to create space…to pause…to drop “the agenda”.
We shall start afresh, as beginners, by “finding the ground”, by recognising the sensations, going with the body’s natural intelligence and trusting the breath… watching then how space appears – without any need to push, pull, do or fix. Thus, the song can be revealed from within. All yoga practitioners welcome.
About your teacher
Judy has led an eclectic life traveling and living in places like Bhutan in the Himalayas. In her six years there, she met and married her husband, had two children and also met her spiritual teacher. Yoga became central to her understanding during pregnancy – allowing her to embrace inner transformation – discovering something far beyond anything she could have imagined. Later, her travels to India gave her a deeper immersion in yoga.
It was shortly after her return to Scotland that she discovered the yoga of Vanda Scaravelli and met John Stirk and Sandra Sabatini. They seemed to offer a deeper more intuitive way or working which was irresistible. Judy went on to train as an Active Birth Teacher, a British Wheel Diploma teacher and a Midwife. She is the lead tutor for the Yoga Scotland 500-hour Teacher Training Diploma and has a wealth of experience and knowledge that she passes on with a gentle passion.
