During the five days in Lendrick Lodge Sandra Sabatini and her co-teacher Michal Havkin will offer five hours of practice a day, plus an evening meditation.
The sessions will incorporate some Feldenkries movements towards facilitating a playful and different experience of yoga positions. The unfolding of the body will go along with the unfolding of the breath supported by a slow and meditative approach.
This course is for committed students and teachers of the yoga path. Over the years, Sandra Sabatini and her teachings have planted beautiful roots at Lendrick Lodge. These teachings draw from the very essence of Vanda Scaravelli’s lineage.
A student of Vanda Scaravelli for fourteen years, Sandra has practised Yoga for thirty years, and believes, ‘Learning no longer comes from wanting to reach a goal or fulfil an aim but from a gradual unfolding, an effortless blossoming’.
Michal Havkin has over three decades of experience dancing professionally in Israel and around the world. These roots, weaved with her long-term study with Sandra, support you to discover new levels of awareness within the minute changes in your body.
In response to the remarkable commitment of the students attracted to come together each year, they have added an extra day for yoga teachers (A Teacher Gathering). This additional day will help teachers develop a closer connection with intuition, whilst working with their own students. Benefit from the shared decades of experience in a space of mastery, where we can find a language that talks directly to the body as a whole.
Within the embrace of yoga, there is a song waiting to be born. Join The Song of the Body and awaken that tender gift within your heart.
There is a way of doing yoga poses (asanas) without the slightest effort. Movement is the song of the body. Yes, the body has its own song from which the movement of dancing arises spontaneously.
In other words, the liberation of the upper part of the body (the head, neck, arms, shoulders and trunk) produced by the acceptance of gravity in the lower part of the body (hips, legs, knees and feet) is the origin of lightness and dancing is its expression. This song, if you care to listen to it, is beauty.”
