An opportunity to explore how a different relationship with your breath can transform your yoga practice.
A chance for new or experienced yoga practitioners to experience a variety of techniques to help quieten the mind and bring about a feeling of peace. The weekend will be a mixture of practical sessions of postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation and sound, plus theory sessions drawing on the teachings from classical yoga texts.
Andy Curtis-Payne is a yoga teacher, therapist and teacher-trainer with many years of experience in group work, Master classes and one-to-one consultations. He is an enthusiastic advocate of the power of yoga to change lives; his teaching covers all aspects of yoga practice and philosophy and is suitable for all ages and abilities. He received his first teaching diploma from the British Wheel of Yoga in 1995.
He started training in the Krishnamacharya tradition in 1999 culminating in him being approved as a Teacher Trainer by TKV Desikachar in Chennai in 2006.
Andy has taught at the British Wheel of Yoga Annual Congress several times, as well as being an invited speaker at the European Yoga Federation Annual Conference and the Dutch Yoga Federation Annual Congress. He also featured in the book ‘Yoga for Everybody’.
Ann Hunter has been practising yoga since 1979 and this way of life has both nourished and enhanced her healing journey. As a yoga teacher and therapist, Ann has supported many students over the years to find more joy and wellness in their body, through the spirit of yoga. Her continuous journey into the spiritually uplifting life path of yoga will support you to find your unique relationship with this ancient path of mastery. This unique weekend is open to anyone who has experience of yoga.
This is the first time that we are welcoming Andy Curtis-Payne to teach at Lendrick Lodge; and together with Ann Hunter who has been cultivating her love for yoga for three decades you are in for a heart-swelling and rejuvenating weekend.
