We all seek good health, but this fundamental goal can easily slip out of our reach in a fast-paced modern world, characterised by activity, distraction and instability.
Yoga teaches us to slow down for a while and take time for ourselves to nourish the many parts of our human system, with the aim of bringing balance and healing of all aspects of our being – mind, body, breath and spirit.
Let experienced teachers Ann and Patricia guide you through accessible practices including yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation and sound, designed to bring us to a state of harmony and allow our mind-body systems to recover and heal.
Ann Hunter has been practising yoga since 1979 and this way of life has both nourished and enhanced her healing journey. As a yoga teacher and therapist, Ann has supported many students over the years to find more joy and wellness in their body, through the spirit of yoga. Her decades of exploration into the roots and heart of yoga are passed on to you in this nourishing environment of growth, support and rejuvenation.
Patricia Ace has been practicing yoga since the early 1990s. Over the years she has been increasingly drawn to the tradition of Krishnamacharya and Desikachar, inspired by a keen interest in yoga philosophy and the therapeutic and healing applications of yoga. Her teaching focuses on dynamic sequences of breath and movement and seated breathing practices. Use of chanting, meditation and study of yoga texts form an integral part of this full weekend.
